2024-2025 Travel Season Tryouts
Registration for the 2024-2025 Travel Season is open on May 3 here: Travel Registration (pghdynamo.org)
DHM - you should have a closing date. Also, a note about if you register by X date, you'll receive email with tryout details about a week before. If you register after X date, please check back here for updates.

Teams are formed by birth year (BY). The youngest players for the 2024-2025 season are birth year 2016.
Tryouts will be held from May 29 through June 6 at the Schenley Oval (more below). Player check-in will be in the gazebo between the tennis courts starting at 6:00 (please do not arrive earlier due to rec team practices).
DHM -I would actually start at 6:15. People show up 10 minutes early anyway. And check in is quick, so less time for the kids to be anxiously waiting around.
There is no cost to try out. If a player is invited to join a team, the total fee for both Fall+Spring seasons will be paid during final registration steps.
Players should wear weather-appropriate soccer-playing clothing, shin guards, and cleats or tennis shoes, and should bring a ball with your name on it and water.
Tryouts will be held in rain (but not in thunder or lightning).
DHM - add something about we monitor the weather and will send updates if we need to cancel by ~5:45 or so.
Tryout Format and Schedule
Players in birth years 2016, 2015, and 2014
Players at these younger years will have an organized tryout consisting of skills assessment, drills, and scrimmages. All players, existing team members and new players, will participate in these tryouts. Player check in 6:00-6:30, warm up 6:20-6:30, tryout 6:30 - 8:00.

Players in these older years will attend a practice of an existing team. Schedule is below. All teams have multiple dates where a player may attend, but new players need only attend one session. We will be in contact with players in these ages to coordinate signups for a particular day. Player check in 6:10-6:30, tryout 6:30 - 8:00.

Post-Tryout Timeline
After tryouts, the commission and coaches review the results and discuss new team rosters. This takes time, with end of school activities and vacations interfering in our planning. Players invited to join a team will receive an email indicating that with an invitation to complete the second part of the registration process. Others will be notified via email if they did not make a team.
